Important Dates of 2026 Admission
  • Application Submission Period: Noon (JST) 2026.1.6 (Tue.) to Noon (JST) 1.15 (Thu.)
  • Announcement of 1st Stage Screening Outcome: 10:00 (JST) 2026.2.6 (Fri.)
  • 2nd Stage Screening: One or two days during 2026.3.2 (Mon.) to 3.6 (Fri.)
  • Announcement of Successful Applicants: 10:00 (JST) 2026.4.2 (Thu.)
  • Admission Procedures: 10:00 (JST) 2026.4.2 (Thu.) to 10:00 (JST) 4.9 (Thu.)
  • Course Start: Oct. 1, 2026
Eligibility
Basic Qualifications
  • Have completed 12-year of education based on a non-Japanese education system by the time of enrollment in Tohoku University.
    *For those who have completed 11-year of education, your eligibility will depend on your education history.
Academic Requirements
  • Official English Test Score:  TOEFL iBT® (including Home Edition) 79+ or IELTSTM Academic (including IELTS Online) 6.0+
  • Standardized Examination Scores(Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry): GCE A-Levels, IB, ACT (without writing), AP, EJU, etc.
